Cooler weather often means closed windows and longer use of the heater. Cabin air depends on the ventilation setting, number of passengers, outside conditions and sources inside the vehicle—not a fixed multiplier that applies to every winter journey.
Fresh-air exchange still matters
Recirculation changes how much outside air enters the cabin. Over time, exhaled carbon dioxide can accumulate when fresh-air exchange is limited. Follow the vehicle manual and use suitable ventilation settings for the conditions.
Watch for damp materials
Wet coats, damp mats and spills can contribute to a musty smell. Dry or remove affected items and check the cabin filter and ventilation system when odours persist. Adding perfume does not remove moisture or its source.
A fragrance-free addition
SmogGo Novus uses negative-ion technology without a fragrance refill. Negative ions can charge airborne particles and affect how they settle; cabin airflow and operating conditions influence the result.
Know what it does not replace
Novus does not remove carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide, replace fresh-air exchange or treat drowsiness. If you feel dizzy, unusually tired or unwell while driving, stop safely and address the cause rather than relying on an air device.
Keep the routine practical
Use a suitable, accessible 12V socket, keep the device’s outlet exposed and follow the supplied instructions. Regular cleaning, removing odour sources and maintaining the vehicle remain important throughout the year.
